Digital Billboard Guidelines
A system of options for departments and programs to use their name along with SKC’s.
The primary purpose of the SKC Digital Billboard is to share information about Salish Kootenai College and it’s programs, provide information about SKC timelines and deadlines for students, and announce SKC-hosted events that will take place on campus.

The following information may be placed on the SKC Digital Billboard

General information about SKC
Examples include RAVE alerts, admissions deadlines, availability of campus housing, announcements about the SKC PowWow.

Information about SKC’s Programs
Academic and Workforce Development Programs

Announcements about SKC on-campus events
Public events including graduation, SKC basketball tournaments, and Women 4 Wellness.

Announcements about CSKT on-campus events
Examples include CSKT Baby Fair or Wellness Events.

Specified events occurring on the SKC campus
Events include Regional Basketball Tournaments

Important Flathead Reservation events
Events such as elections and powwows, and other events at the discretion of the President.
Procedure for requesting a slide on the digital billboard
SKC Departments (programs) are published on a schedule. Each program is featured for 2-weeks. We usually have between 6 and 9 programs rotating through the Digital Billboard at any given time.
If Departments have a program deadline, they can contact the person in charge of the Digital Billboard to request that be added.
There is a Kissflow (SKC News, Events, and Content Submission) that SKC personnel can fill out that describes On-Campus events. While we don’t have an official means to request an event be published in the Kissflow we have, in the past, put events that have been submitted on the Digital Billboard.
In this News, Events, and Content submission it should be specifically requested to be added to the Digital Billboard to be considered.
Currently, the process for outside organizations requesting events that are taking place on the SKC campus be put on the digital billboard is to simply email marketing@skc.edu.

Events will be added to the Digital Billboard no more than 2 weeks prior to the event.
When filling out facilities request, may request a message on the digital billboard. The fee for placing a message will be an additional $40 over the facilities fee.

You will receive a proof to review before publishing your slide(s).
